The Comox Valley agricultural fair was first held in 1873. Today, the tradition holds strong and attracts some 15,000 visitors annually. The fair is held over one weekend in August including such events and attractions as a 4H Club, horse show, farmer's market, antique machinery display, dog show, pony rides, food fair, midway, kid zone and more.

Since 1995, the Vancouver Island MusicFest has been bringing roots music to the Comox Valley. It is a rural, family friendly music event built by volunteers and featureing over 200 performers on five programmed stages.
